Payment Options
For your convenience, we accept cash, personal checks, money orders and major credit cards. Payment is expected at the time services are performed.
Insurance
As a service to our patients, our practice will submit your insurance claims for you. Our staff will prepare the necessary forms for your dental benefits. We will provide an estimate of your insurance benefits prior to treatment, but realize it is only an estimate. Our staff will gladly submit a pre-treatment estimate to your insurance company so that you will know what your benefits will be. However, we remind you that your specific policy is an agreement between you and your insurance company. Please keep in mind that you are responsible for your total obligation should your insurance benefits result in less coverage than anticipated.
The fees charged for services rendered to those with insurance are the same fees charged to all our patients for similar services. Your policy may base its allowances on a fixed fee schedule, which may or may not coincide with our usual fees. You should be aware that different insurance companies vary greatly in the types of coverage available. Also, some companies take care of claims promptly while others delay payment for several months.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What type of insurance do you accept?
A: We will accept any plan that does not assign you to particular dentist (i.e. DMO). We are a Delta
Dental Premier provider.
Q: What will my insurance cover?
A: Most insurance plans cover a percentage of your care up to a maximum dollar amount each year, usually with a small deductible. We will be happy to contact your carrier and obtain this information for you.
Q: My insurance did not pay as much as was estimated. Why?
A: Insurance companies base their benefits on their own fee schedule. If our fee is higher than the allowed fee, you are responsible for the difference.
Q: I have an extensive treatment plan. Do you have a payment plan?
A: We do not extend in-house financing. However, you may obtain financing through Care Credit. They have several options to make your dental treatment affordable. Also, if your employer offers a Flex plan, pre-tax dollars are a good way to save money on your dental needs.
Q: Do I have to have dental x-rays taken?
A: We do a thorough intraoral and extraoral exam at your initial visit and subsequent checkups. However, there are dental problems that cannot be detected through visual exam alone: cavities between teeth or around restorations, tumors or cysts of the jaw, dental abscesses, and periodontal bone defects. Dental radiographs are an invaluble tool to help us keep your mouth healthy and detect problems early. The amount of radiation used for dental x-rays is minimal. We use lead aprons to further reduce your exposure. See the ADA site for more information: www.ada.org/public/topics/xrays_faq.asp.
